This animation was a fast Halloween project - one day for storyboard, sketches and ideas, two days for animation, and one day for sound. I'm really happy with the outcome. I hope you peed your pants a little.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Do you remember when the Mayan Calendar was a big thing in 2012? It was about to bring us the end of the world. This is my New Year’s story for you.
I always wanted to try a more complicated frame-by-frame animation, so I sat down and made this personal project. It took me over two weeks but I did it! All done in Photoshop and Flash. You can view the Flash version here.
Process of creating character's animation
Chef is a character created by the incredibly talented Konrad Szlapa for the Seromaniacy.pl website and Seromaniacy Fanpage. My role was to vectorize the sketches sent to me, and then come up with an idea for the animation based on a short description sent from client. Below you can see some examples of my solutions.
THE ANIMATION FOR THE VALENTINE'S DAY
This Valentine’s animation was founded by the general idea of the holiday, followed by my storyboard, illustrations and final animation design. The animation was a part of a Valentine's Day application, available as an e-card.
The users could write the name of their sweethearts, which then appeared on the layer cake in the final scene.
THE CREATOR OF TASTES
The Creator of Tastes was designed as one of four contest apps for Tymbark, the juice producer. The idea for the application was provided by GONG. My task was to invent the visuals and create the animations. There were 60 fruit to choose from - meaning 60 different animations and
color changes, depending on the fruit you have picked. Moreover, I had to deal with the movable elements of the machines. Tough work that was definitely worth the effort!
